MotorStorm was one of the better initial titles available on the PS3 in the console’s earlier days, so there is absolutely no reason for there not to have a sequel as a follow up. This time round, we are faced with the adrenaline rush known as MotorStorm: Pacific Rift that brings together both amazing visuals and intense driving action for that visceral off-road experience. Before being released officially, it has already picked up accolades like “Best Racing Game of E3 2008″, so you can expect a whole ton of action and adrenaline rush as this title hits retail store shelves.

Obama’s Tower Race cashes in on election fever
October 27th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
With the presidential elections in the US coming up in less than a fortnight’s time, things sure are heating up. The whole world will be waiting with bated breath to see who emerges as the victor, since that person will be the most powerful man on earth, and surely all countries’ foreign policies will be affected some what or another (for better or worse, I might add). Fortunanzo Inc. is taking advantage of this frenzied election fever by unleashing Obama’s Tower Race, the first online 3D flash game that features both Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and his Republican opponent, John McCain. If you want to have a fun time filled with laughs, then I’d suggest giving this cleverly built game a go as players will be rewarded by tons of cash prizes.

The Legend of Spyro Dawn of the Dragon finally ships
October 25th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
At long last, Activision Publishing will be bringing the popular The Legend of Spyro video game trilogy to a close with its latest title, The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. Currently available at all good North American retailers, this game will feature some pretty class acts where in-game voices are concerned, including Elijah Wood of Frodo Baggins fame in The Lord of the Rings trilogy as well as Gary Oldman who played the role of Sirius Black from the Harry Potter films. Expect to hear other Hollywood talents such as Christina Ricci, Blair Underwood, Mark Hamill and Wayne Brady in this game as well.
PosiMotion announces mobile Wi-Fi network gaming hub
October 24th, 2008 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware
PosiMotion has released the first mobile Wi-Fi network gaming hub in the world that caters for all Wi-Fi-enabled devices, and it is known as the G-Fi VS. This device is compatible with ad-hoc Wi-Fi connectivity between multiple devices, even if the range surpasses a hundred feet. Of course, I don’t see any reason for you to stray so far away from your computer or console unless you have a really, really large screen to play with. No 802.11n connectivity here as it is limited to just 802.11 b/g support, but that’ll be enough for multiple player games, file, media, and data sharing.
Wii Music launched
October 23rd, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Do you think you have a hidden musical talent within you, but never really got to showcase them because your parents did not send you off to music school or classes when you were younger? Well now that you’re holding down a pretty steady 9-to-5 job and have some money left over to purchase a Nintendo Wii, here is a game (so to speak) that allows you to concoct your own musical extravaganzas. It is hoped that Nintendo’s Wii Music will take off in a similar manner as compared to Wii Sports and Wii Fit, providing players with the chance to produce fun and masterful arrangements.
What’s Cooking? with Jamie Oliver now available
October 22nd, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Chef Jamie Oliver is not only a looker, but he now has his own cooking game to keep the video game population across North America satiated. What’s Cooking? with Jamie Oliver enables players to loosen their shackles by creating, enjoying and sharing their recipes in the same vein as how Jamie Oliver does it on his cookbooks and especially his TV shows. This title is available on the Nintendo DS platform, which means you are able to bring Jamie Oliver with you virtually wherever you go in your pocket - just make sure that there is enough battery life left in your console before you continue or at least have a handy Domino’s number at hand just in case things go awry.
Trade stocks in a fantasy world
October 21st, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Just in case you’re feeling extremely depressed about the current state of world economies, the UMOO has just the panacea for you. They have rolled out a new way to keep you distracted from global financial market meltdowns in the form of a new online fantasy stock trading platform. In addition, UMOO has thrown in the added incentive to win cold, hard cash from virtual trades. I think this is a fine idea, but sometimes one might think he/she is too savvy and enter the real world market only to get burnt badly later on.

Golden Tee Golf gets 20th Anniversary 2009 edition
October 20th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
I think that one sport most executives would not be able to give up even in times of economic hardship would be golf. Why do I say that? Well, these are the very same people who can spend all day at the green neglecting their family as they attempt to find that perfect stroke, applying knowledge that has been garnered from poring over tome after tome of golf tips. Good thing there is a digital replacement for this addiction even when it rains, in the form of the Golden Tee Golf 20th Anniversary 2009 edition.
Atari goes gold with Dragon Ball: Origins
October 18th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Atari has not only gone gold with Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World, but they have also done the same with Dragon Ball: Origins for the Nintendo DS (which is still going to hang around for quite some time compared to the PS2 mind you). Developed by Namco Bandai Games, the title name Dragon Ball: Origins suggests revisiting the original Dragon Ball series, traveling all over the world in a thrilling action-adventure game setting complete with purported innovative stylus controls, although it remains to be seen just how innovative it will be. Will it be like Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass with its intuitive navigation control using the stylus? I guess we’ll have to wait until the game itself is released to find out.
