With traditional religious values such as clean language, being courteous and basically doing away with the need for controversial lyrics and dances in songs being considered to be old-fashioned, there are still a certain group of more religious people holding on to those straight-laced values, wanting to prevent their kids from being polluted by the numerous attractive offerings out there. Digital Praise Inc. has an alternative for iPhone and iPod touch owners as this leading developer of family-friendly Christian computer games have recently announced Dance Praise for both platforms.

Rockstar Games to bring Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars to PSP
June 24th, 2009 by Edwin in Uncategorized
Sony PSP have long gloated over the fact that their handheld console has the Grand Theft Auto franchise while Nintendo DS gamers fare otherwise, but much to their chagrin, Rockstar Games did come up with an exceptional version of GTA for Nintendo’s handheld, and Chinatown Wars has already won the hearts of gamers who have given the title a go on the diminutive, all-conquering portable platform. This time round, GTA: Chinatown Wars will come full circle as the game will be appearing on the PSP, where gamers can choose from the UMD format or downloading it digitally via the PlayStation®Network in North America and Europe this fall.

Activision Publishing and 4Kids Entertainment announce Chaotic video game
February 17th, 2009 by Edwin in Uncategorized
Activision Publishing has teamed up with 4Kids Entertainment to bring the next evolution of a popular card game known as Chaotic – merging elements of storytelling, role playing and action. Sounds a wee bit like being the Dungeon Master, no? This collaboration is on track to be released on the Nintendo Wii, DS Lite, Xbox 360 and PS3 console later this fall, and one system conspicuously missing from the list would be Sony’s handheld – the PSP. We have absolutely no idea on why that has happened, apart from the fact that developers think this platform is not worth the time, effort and money spent. After all, it is about turning a profit these days with the current global economic crisis and what not.
Majesco to introduce ‘Go Play’ brand of Wii titles
February 14th, 2009 by Edwin in Uncategorized
Majesco Entertainment Company is one that has released a fair number of games on the Wii already, although the most memorable one (or the one that kicked it off, rather) would still be Cooking Mama after seeing it being a phenomenal success on the Nintendo DS platform. This time round, the company aims to further increase its portfolio in the Wii arena by introducing an all-new branding initiative which will bring together a bunch of energetic, motion based Wii games under the banner label – Go Play. Sound tired already? Well, at least it is a fun way to work up a sweat, and the first title in the line is Go Play Lumberjax that will be out later this spring, followed by Go Play City Sports and Go Play Circus Star which will be available in the summer and fall respectively.

Folks who love snowboarding but want to get their kicks even when indoors can always check out Ubisoft’s newest action sports title, Shaun White Snowboarding. This time round, it will also come in a special Target edition that is available across all three current generation consoles – the Xbox 360, the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii. No prizes for guessing which one of the three will have the least appealing graphics, although it would be interesting to see whether the wiggle controls of the Wii is able to introduce new gameplay elements compared to traditional controller movement.
