The Novint Falcon Game Controller was certainly one of the more revolutionary game controllers ever released in the world of video gaming, and this time the company has announced that it has already expanded the line-up of games to over 40 for the award-winning Novint Falcon game controller. Prices for these titles will range between $9.95 to $29.95, which means there will be a little something for everybody regardless of whether you’re a casual gamer or one of those hardcore types. It seems that the upcoming Falcon line-up will consist of AAA, classic, casual and best-selling games in a variety of genres.

October 17th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware, General Gaming NewsNearly everyone and their dog already has experienced World of Warcraft, but how many of you use peripherals other than the keyboard and mouse to play? Well this effort features an Xbox 360 controller that works with your computer while you roam the worlds of Azeroth. This effort was made possible thanks to a software called Switchblade that was developed by a company known as Blue Orb Software. Best of all is, there is no price to pay for this piece of software since it has been made available for free.
Wii gets new system update
October 12th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware, General Gaming News
The Nintendo Wii is one cute console that flashes blue whenever it wants your attention, which is kinda the opposite of females who seem to blush red when they’re shy because a hottie such as you is approaching them - either that or they’re just plain mad at you for being such a cheapskate during a night out, but both situations still warrant garnering your attention. As for the Wii, at least it doesn’t scream, get involved in catfights, or even throw expensive china your way during an argument. No sir, it will continue flashing in blue to notify you that there is a new system update available for download, with the version number stopping at 3.1 already.
Crysis causes crisis for PC gamers
October 9th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware
One disadvantage PC gamers have over their console brethren is the fact that the computer gets obsolete way too soon, causing them to upgrade their computers once every two years or so, while console gamers happily sit out for the next five years without worrying whether the latest title will crawl on their Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3 or not. In fact, console owners have it better as the console ages - developers will be able to know the ins and outs of a particular machine and thus create much better looking titles compared to those released during the console’s launch. As for PC gamers, they’ll need to bleed money for that new video card or faster processor. Crytek’s Crysis is definitely one of those games that push the bar when it comes to visual realism in a computer game, unfortunately the price to pay is pretty hefty judging by the system requirements. Check those out after the jump.
Wii remotes get jackets now
October 3rd, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware
Nintendo has extended their generosity (a move made possible with the Wii’s phenomenal worldwide sales) by giving out a free Wii Remote Jacket to all existing and new Wii owners. After all, everyone has heard of horror stories concerning Wii Remotes that actually fly out due to a broken strap during a session of overzealous gaming, with more often than not detrimental results to your newly purchased big screen TV. The Wii Remote Jacket will definitely go a long way in providing an added layer of protection, and it also doubles up as a covering that prevents you from dirtying your Wii Remote with sweaty and pizza-stained fingers as you and your mates engage in an all night Mario Party marathon.
Rumors of new Xbox 360 bundles afloat
September 28th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware, Soapbox
The rumor mill has started spinning again, and this time it involves new Xbox 360 bundles that will be released in time for the upcoming, frenzied holiday season. The first of the two would be the Xbox 360 Pro package (which leads me to wonder - whatever happened to the Casual package? Oh yeah, they picked up the Nintendo Wii instead) that will come with both Forza 2 as well as Marvel Ultimate Alliance titles, bringing back memories of the old Sega GT/Jet Set Radio bundle which were attached to original Xbox. This rumor started circulating last month, so a resurface could possibly indicate some truth in it.
New PS3 coming our way?
September 26th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware, General Gaming News
The label that you see above, when read together with a Radio Test Report carried out by EMC Labs on a PlayStation 3 with a new model number, will reveal something interesting - in fact, it could be the long overdue PS3 Lite that everyone has been talking about. Should this piece of news be true, I’m not too sure as to why Sony would want to come up with yet another SKU - as if having two SKUs in the market currently are not enough to confuse customers. Regardless, both documents and a letter from Sony requesting for photographs of the test machine to remain a closely guarded secret can be found at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States.
Shocked three times over
September 20th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware
Looks like the rumor is now confirmed - Sony has finally put its spat with Immersion behind, and after a (presumably) hefty payout, they are ready to…rumble! The Sixaxis controller for Sony’s latest console did come under fire when it was first released since the rumble property was taken out. Back then, Sony mentioned that rumble as a last generation feature, and it is strange to see the company fail to back up its words once again with the revelation of a rumble-capable PS3 controller that has been dubbed (drumroll, please) the Dual Shock 3.
Could rumble be on its way for the PS3?
September 18th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware
Word on the street has it that Sony will be bringing rumble for its Sixaxis controller sometime this week, according to information revealed in the latest System Development Kit (SDK) that were sent to developers on Thursday. To elaborate further,SDKs are basically packages of tools that were given to programmers, allowing them to work on applications that target a specific platforms (Sony’s very own PS3 in this case). I guess the tiff between Sony and Immersion being over, it is now time to make sure that Sony takes full advantage of the situation by going back on its words that “rumble feature is not important” and incorporate it into their current console.
Thrustmaster Wii Wireless Classic Controller
September 14th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware
While the Nintendo Wii meant to bring a revolution to the home console scene (and it certainly did that), certain quarters are not too happy about having Wii’s controller arrangement, especially the idea of plugging the Classic Controller into the Wiimote for it to work. While that design flaw (if you can classify it as one - I don’t see any problems with it) certainly doesn’t signal the beginning of the end, it could interfere with your gaming pleasure especially when you have something heavy like the Wiimote hanging off the Classic Controller, supported by your lap. Thrustmaster is currently offering a solution to this dilemma with the T-Wireless NW gamepad for Wii.
