Square Enix releases NIER in North America

PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will be pleased to know that Square Enix has just announced the availability of the highly-anticipated Action-RPG known as NIER, where it will hit North America retailers nationwide. Nice to know that there is life apart from the usual Final Fantasy series, and for those who are not in the know, NIER is about the despairing story of a world afflicted by an apocalyptic plague and a father’s desperation to protect his daughter from the dark denizens of this frightening future. As with any decent RPG, you will be able to arm yourself with mighty weapons and powerful magic as you play the role of the protagonist, Nier, while having formidable allies aid your quest against waves of enemies and giant bosses as you start to find out the truth behind the plague, your daughter and yourself.

THQ announces a bevy of Star Wars titles

THQ Wireless Inc. has just announced a trio of of Star Wars titles, namely Star Wars: Cantina, Star Wars: Yoda Soundboard and Star Wars: Lightsaber Duel (see image), where Lightsaber Duel is a highly anticipated sequel to the extremely popular Lightsaber Unleashed application, where all three can be downloaded via iTunes onto your iPod touch or iPhone. Funcom enables pre-order of Rise of the Godslayer
