SouthPeak Games offer Mister Slime

The Nintendo DS has its fair share of kiddy titles in addition to more mature themed ones, but Mister Slime from SouthPeak Games lean more towards the former. Rated “E” for everyone, you can be sure that there won’t be any slashing and killing going on, offering wholesome family fun for everyone - I do suspect that the older kids will probably give this $19.99 titles a miss though as there isn’t any bloodshed going on, and to make it all worse, you don’t have anyone or anything to shoot at. Sigh - and to think games were successful last time without the need for wanton violence and destruction.

Chuck Norris: Bring on the Pain

Who hasn’t heard of Chuck Norris deserves a trademark kick in the head. This bad boy is still alive and kicking, and this time he’ll be making an appearance on a new mobile video game that allows you to bring bone-crunching action with you wherever you go. Gameloft will be making available “Chuck Norris: Bring on the Pain” to the cell phone platform this August.

Slingo launches LYSSTI

Free online games are dime a dozen these days, so how do you separate the wheat from the chaff? Not much really, other than to rely on seasoned online game reviewers spout their stuff, or just dive in and draw your own conclusion. Well, just in case you’re wondering what’s the next free online game to keep yourself occupied with at the office, how about LYSSTI from Slingo? This one tests your brain power as it is a mind-bending puzzle game of paths and patterns. If you hated fitting in different pieces of shapes into a hollow ball that has cut out shapes when you were a kid, maybe LYSSTI is not for you. Still, since it is free there isn’t any hard im trying.

AT&T and Spore team up

Wanted video game to come

Angelina Jolie is always hot IMHO, and in her latest outing, Wanted, she never looked better. As with any self-respecting blockbuster these days, there is bound to be a tie-in with a video game on at least one platform, and Wanted is no exception. This game will be published worldwide by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and is being developed by game developer GRIN who is famous for their work on the Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter series.

Harmonix unveils Rock Band 2 at E3 2008

Harmonix and MTV Games have come together to unveil Rock Band 2 at E3 2008 to adoring millions worldwide, building upon the core band foundation found in its predecessor while boasting what it claims to be an unparalleled, deeper, dynamic gameplay experience. Some of the new and innovative features include local and global online modes to connect the entire Rock Band community, a World Tour mode which is now playable online, Tour Challenges that offer rockers a chance to play through mini-campaigns focused on the best songs by instrument, decade, genre, artist, album and more, among others. Jojo’s Fashion Show 2: Las Cruces coming

Gamelab has just announced Jojo’s Fashion Show 2: Las Cruces, a sequel to the innovative catwalk hit which was released last year. This time around, Jojo and her daughter Rosalind are working on their new joint line “Las Cruces”. This will require the both of them to form a solid partnership, working together to face whatever challenges that cross their path, ranging from fashion critics who don’t know any better as well as designing clothes for men.

Wonder World Amusement Park hits the Wii

Oasys Mobile offers Railroad Tycoon

Sid Meier’s Railroad Tycoon is one interesting title as it is a historically based train strategy game that had countless strategy fans enjoy the game over the years without any regret. It has always appeared on the PC platform though, as mobile devices do not have the graphical firepower required for such a game at it’s zenith. Things have definitely changed with the introduction of more powerful hardware on the mobile platform, which is why Oasys Mobile is offering a mobile version of Sid Meier’s Railroad Tycoon via multiple wireless carrier services.

Bejeweled 2 on Apple App Store

Folks who have access to the newly launched Apple App Store will be able to download the highly addictive Bejeweled 2 game from PopCap Games. To date, nearly five million users have already had countless hours of fun with the webb application, while hundreds of millions have whiled their time away on the PC, online and console versions. In total, the Bejeweled franchise has seen more than six billion hours of productivity go down the drain - I wonder what bosses have to say about that.
