Funcom announces Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer launch
May 12th, 2010 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Funcom knows that their best sellig MMORPG, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures has been more than a half decent hit, in fact it has definitely made life a whole lot more fun, and those who are well versed with MMORPGs would probably have had a crack at it by now. Well, the game is now into its expansion, known as Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer, where you can pick it up from a retail shop near you as a combined package which includes the original game to get you started just in case you missed out on that one alongside the expansion. For folks who have already purchased the original a long time ago, you can always upgrade it to the latest expansion by downloading a copy online after keying in your credit card details, benefitting from countless hours of new adventure through the addition of new lands and dungeons while introducing all-new gameplay features such as the faction system.
According to Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas, “We are very excited about seeing ‘Age of Conan’ back on the shelves in retail as a renewed and revitalized experience comprised of both the original game and the expansion, exactly two years after the launch of the original game in May 2008. We feel very confident about the level of quality offered in this expansion, and the initial reactions from press and players so far only serve to confirm our confidence in the game.”
Interested in picking a copy up? Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer can be purchased through retail channels by CompuExpert in the US and by Deep Silver in the European markets. No idea on pricing since nothing has been announced just yet, but it looks set to be a pretty big hit, although don’t expect it to be along the lines of World of Warcraft. What MMORPG are you playing these days to keep you occupied, or has the toll of everyday life taken over your gaming sessions?
