Gala-Net, Inc. is no Blizzard, but they are currently the leading free-to-play online game publisher, having announced a decision to roll out their first browser-based MMOG known as Heroes of Gaia in the North American market. As with many other online games these days, you can expect scantily clad women to get your pulses racing instead of exciting gameplay and a deep plot doing that on your behalf.

Heroes of Gaia, developed by Snail Games, is a free-to-play browser-based strategy MMOG which instantly immerses players in a beautifully crafted medieval fantasy world. The game boasts an exciting feature set complete with kingdom building, castle sieges, and thrilling PvP action. Players have the choice of commanding one of four races: Humans, Elves, Orcs, and Undead. Each race will provide players with unique benefits to build their empire. Heroes of Gaia also features a comprehensive battle system with numerous gameplay innovations where players directly control their heroes in combat. Players command their heroes and armies to accumulate natural resources, rare items, and expand their empire in the world of Gaia.

According to Jikhan Jung, CEO, Gala-Net, Inc. β€œWe are excited about the launch of Heroes of Gaia on our 6 million strong gPotato portal! The greatest part of this game is its accessibility; it can be played from any computer using just a browser and an internet connection with absolutely nothing to download. We believe Heroes of Gaia’s impressive features will be equally appealing to casual and hardcore gamers alike!”

Guess office network administrators ought to do something about stemming the tide of such browser-based games if they want to make sure that productivity remains at the very least. In fact, a good indicator would be to see the facial reaction of those who are informed that the office Internet connection will be down for a long time…
