Rush Hour heads for iPhone without costing a single penny

December 4th, 2009 by Edwin in Games – New Releases

rushhourThinkFun Inc. has announced that they will finally launch the original Rush Hour iPhone application for free , available for free on the Apple iTunes Store beginning today. According to Bill Ritchie, ThinkFun co-founder and CEO, “Our customers around the world have been asking for a Rush Hour iPhone application, and we are excited to finally make this happen. The original Rush Hour iPhone application is a logic puzzle that offers the same simplicity, ease-of-use and high-quality content our users have come to expect from ThinkFun.”

Rush Hour is touted to be one of the smartest and most challenging logic puzzle for the iPhone, where it will come with the following (but not limited to) exclusive features including :-

  • The free application has 70 original challenges and the $.99 full version has 2500 Challenges
  • With each version, the challenges range from beginner to expert that will entertain novice players and test advance players with super-hard expert levels
  • Perfect Score – Rush Hour for the iPhone tracks the number of moves players make to get out of the traffic jams and compares them to the shortest, most efficient path possible. Even exceptional gamers who manage to solve all of the puzzles can’t claim mastery of Rush Hour until they have tallied the perfect score on each challenge
  • Solve Button – No matter where they are in their challenge, the solve button will show players how to solve it, and then put them back where they left off so players can learn and complete the challenge themselves

Nice to know that Think Inc. has taken the steps to make available their original platform considering a whole bunch of Rush Hour knock-offs are out there in the market. Have you given Rush Hour a go just yet? There is nothing quite like a cerebral game to challenge you after a long, hard day at work, but for some of us out there, we would very much prefer to have a no-brainer of a game to melt the stress away instead. Which camp do you fall under?
