November 29th, 2009 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Electronic Arts, a giant in the world of video gaming, has recently announced that they have made available Madden NFL Arcade for download on both the PlayStation Store and on Xbox LIVE Arcade, keeping gamers from both camps happy. This is the perfect for pick-up-and-play action during halftime (at least until next year’s edition, of course, knowing how Electronic Arts love to milk something for all it is worth and beyond), Madden NFL Arcade offers an all-new way to experience the Madden NFL franchise thanks to a unique art style and fast-paced gameplay. If you choose to pick up Madden NFL Arcade on the PlayStation Store, it will cost you $14.99 while those who take the Xbox LIVE route will have to fork out 1,200 MS points.
Madden NFL Arcade takes everything you love about your favorite NFL stars and stadiums and brings them to life in a fun, high-scoring gridiron battle. Featuring all 32 NFL teams and stadiums, including the top five offensive and defensive stars from each team, with all-new arcade style animations, every play looks like a highlight reel. From linemen to wide receivers, each player is 100% authentic to the NFL and injected with over-the-top personality unique to Madden NFL Arcade. Catch your opponent off-guard with 13 unique Game Changers to break the game wide open in a single play. Freeze one of your opponent’s players, add extra lineman to sack the QB, turn off your opponent’s passing icons, and more. With action-packed Game Changers, no two plays are ever the same.
This is not a one-man show, as Madden NFL Arcade also helps you solcialize with your friends by allowing up to four cooperative players on a single console. Apart from that, you can also pit your skills against others via online matches and track your performance through interactive leaderboards.
