Activision Publishing, Inc. has just announced that they will be bringing DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc.’s Madagascar Kartz video game to the masses this coming October 27th across a variety of platforms that consists of the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 and PS3. Guess that more or less covers every single gaming platform except for the PSP – which leaves us wondering why because normally game studios would make sure such a release would comprise of all the other systems as well without leaving any out in order to appeal to the mass market, what with DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar franchise which has been pretty popular with folks of all ages, especially the kids.

With over-the-top kart racing, resulting in an outrageous ride the whole family can enjoy together. The Wii version can be purchased as a bundle, which features a DreamWorks’ Madagascar Kartz steering wheel packaged with the game – just load the Wii Remote into the steering wheel and get your animal instincts in high gear. Jump behind the wheel and drive yourself wild as you play as Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melman, King Julien or those crafty penguins! You can power-up and perform zany jumps, outlandish flips, and radical rolls on amazing tracks from the world of Madagascar®, including the New York City Zoo, the plane crash site, the volcano, plus many more. Keep an edge on your wild competitors with cool pickups, such as power boosts, obstacles, and projectiles. DreamWorks’ Madagascar Kartz features split-screen head-to-head multiplayer action, allowing up to four players to go bananas and race locally against one another in Championship, Quick Race and Time Trial modes.

There is no word on pricing for the individual titles, but we can be sure that it will be a bundle of fun, although we do have suspicions that the DS version might come half baked compared to the home console versions as that tends to happen with handheld releases when it comes to major movie-to-video game releases.
