Speed Brain heading towards Palm Pre
June 20th, 2009 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Ever since Brain Age took off on the Nintendo DS platform, there hasn’t been a shortage of games that dabble with your IQ level by offering a wide range of puzzles. The recently launched Palm Pre from Sprint is no exception to the rule, as this platform will also receive a brain game of their own known as Speed Brain, courtesy of Lumosity.com. This brain fitness game aims to help users quickly understand information and react to it, which would go some ways in helping those who have not exercised their brains for a long time to gain that extra bit of sharpness which could potentially land the lady of their dreams the next time their witty repartee is used as a pick up line at the local watering hole.
The Lumosity.com games and training programs were developed by a team of neuroscientists to enhance cognitive performance and brain health at any age. Lumosity’s platform includes over 30 online games and assessments to test and enhance cognitive abilities. The training programs are backed by scientific studies and are now the focus of clinical research at some of the leading universities in the US and Canada.
While this is by no means marking Pre users as folks who have slower mental faculties compared to users of other handsets, it does offer something different in the overall scheme of things without having to settle for standard gaming fare such as shooting zombies or other people as well as beating someone to a pulp.
