Dance Fabulous hits N-Gage platform
June 15th, 2009 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
The N-Gage platform has certainly come a long way to being a software-based one instead of a hardware-based model of the past, and while it isn’t exactly lighting up the portable gaming scene, it certainly seems to have a much higher level of longevity compared to the doomed N-Gage hardware platform which was released in the later half of the last century. This time round, we have a new title for the N-Gage platform – known as Dance Fabulous. This is the first cross-service game by Nokia that incorporates both a music and gaming experience, offering its players a new way to enjoy and listen to music.
Through a collaboration between Nokia, Interscope Records and music legend Dave Stewart, Dance Fabulous also introduces a pioneering artist, Cindy Gomez, including a dancing Gomez avatar and her brand new songs. Players of Dance Fabulous perform their own choreography and collect points by creating cool moves and dancing to the music. In addition to customizing their own avatars, players can mix and match between a variety of dance styles and dance sets and share their fabulous moves with friends and other players via the N-Gage Arena.
The Canadian Cindy Gomez holds the distinction of being the first artist to make her debut in a mobile game (not too glamorous, eh, for all of you aspiring singers out there). Dance Fabulous will hold five of her songs, where among those include the debut single “Again & Again”. How many of our readers out there are fans of the N-Gage platform, or are you having too much fun with your PSP and Nintendo DS Lite that the N-Gage idea never really crossed your mind?
