Everyone loves a limited edition version of something – after all, those have more value compared to a regular, stock model, right? Same goes for video game hardware, and Sony is painfully aware of this fact, hence rolling out the limited-edition Dissidia Final Fantasy PSP Entertainment Pack that will be available only exclusively at GameStop locations across the United States. This package will be out when August 25 rolls around, retailing for $199.99 a pop that includes not only the Mystic Silver PSP-3000 itself, it will also be bundled with the highly anticipated Dissidia Final Fantasy 3D action game to boot. Other goodies inside the box include the CGI film, FINAL FANTASY VII Advent Children, on the soon-to-be-defunct UMD format and a 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo.

Steinberg, Vice President, Product Marketing, SCEA, “With its rich graphics, meticulous attention to detail and exhilarating gameplay experience, the FINAL FANTASY franchise is considered one of the most successful gaming franchises in history. “We saw this as a tremendous opportunity to partner with Square Enix and GameStop, giving FINAL FANTASY fans an exclusive package at an incredible value. Well, we wonder whether the PSP will still be a hot ticket item this coming holiday season or will the Nintendo DSi remain as top dog, ruling over all in terms of hardware as well as software sales regardless of the continent it is on?
