Atari announces The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

While the Chronicles of Riddick wasn’t exactly a runaway hit, it seems as though the game was a real huge success, generating plenty of buzz and goodwill among gamers. Atari is back to entertain the masses iwth its latest release, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena that is now available. This franchise will still feature Vin Diesel who reprises his role as anti-hero Riddick, and will make an appearance to the current generation of consoles for the first time, bringing mayhem and sci-fi espionage to the world of high definition. Inside this game, you will remain entertained by the series’ signature blend of stealth, action and gripping narrative.
In The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena the player takes the role of Riddick, as played by Diesel, using stealth and action to overcome the merciless crew of the predatory Merc-ship Dark Athena which awaits its prey in the dark reaches of space. Cheating death through a series of spectacular battles and events, Riddick will fight for his life amid a storm of malevolence and horror. The Chronicles of Riddick series of games takes the player deeper into the universe of Universal Pictures’ films The Chronicles of Riddick and cult classic Pitch Black, which first introduced Diesel as enigmatic anti-hero.
Those who are interested to check it out can download playable demos of The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for both Xbox 360 and PS3 to get a closer look at the game’s evocative art style, exceptional production values, and the breadth and ferocity of gameplay. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will retail for $59.99 a pop, while folks who prefer Windows-based PCs as their gaming platform of choice will fork out $10 less.
