Total Nonstop Action Wrestling makes its way to the i-Platform
March 31st, 2009 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
The iPhone and iPod touch are beginning to shape up as pretty decent portable gaming solutions, and here we have Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling working with Longtail Studios to release – what else, but TNA Wrestling for both devices. While the App Store does have its fair share of wrestling titles to date, this is touted to be the deepest and most feature rich professional wrestling title among them, featuring all the signature characteristics which have made TNA Wrestling an exciting prime time show on TV. Heck, they have even thrown in an in-depth story mode, so it will be interesting to see how in-depth things can get. Just don’t expect to get Final Fantasy level of stories while wading through though – after all, this is just wrestling, where your ultimate goal is to become World Champion, right?
Get ready to experience Total Nonstop Action anytime, anywhere! Once players create their own custom wrestler, they can jump into the ring against 15 TNA greats, including AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe and Sting, and compete in eight different match types such as Tag Team, Iron Man, Gauntlet and Lumberjack. The goal is to make it from unsigned rookie to TNA World Champion, while unlocking new moves, forging ring alliances, creating rivalries and making decisions outside of the ring that will affect what goes on inside of it.
Those who are interested will be able to pick up TNA Wrestling for just $4.99. While that might not sound like much, we think dropping a couple more dollars or so to get Metal Gear Solid Touch is a whole lot better proposition considering the quality of game you’re getting.
