Majesco to introduce ‘Go Play’ brand of Wii titles
February 14th, 2009 by Edwin in Uncategorized
Majesco Entertainment Company is one that has released a fair number of games on the Wii already, although the most memorable one (or the one that kicked it off, rather) would still be Cooking Mama after seeing it being a phenomenal success on the Nintendo DS platform. This time round, the company aims to further increase its portfolio in the Wii arena by introducing an all-new branding initiative which will bring together a bunch of energetic, motion based Wii games under the banner label – Go Play. Sound tired already? Well, at least it is a fun way to work up a sweat, and the first title in the line is Go Play Lumberjax that will be out later this spring, followed by Go Play City Sports and Go Play Circus Star which will be available in the summer and fall respectively.
Go Play Lumberjax is a competitive party game that lets players use the Wii Remote to chop, climb, saw and logroll to victory in more than 15 fun outdoor events. Go Play City Sports features six classic games played on street “courts” filled with manhole covers and parked cars. Finally, Go Play Circus Star lets players perform for the big top crowds in 15 different games. All three Go Play games also include support for the Wii Balance Board accessory.
Sounds more like a frantic game than one which will make you lead a more active lifestyle. I wonder whether this will be more fun than the Mario Party series or not, but let’s keep an open mind and see how things work out.
