iRacing.com integrates with SimCraft corporation

SimCraft Corporation is an well known developer of true-to-life full-motion racing simulators, and the company recently let it be known that it will be integrated with iRacing.com, an online, subscription-based racing simulation service. More on this integration right after the jump.

According to Sean Patrick MacDonald, SimCraft’s co-founder and chief technical officer, “We’re proud to add iRacing to our existing suite of racing integrations. Between iRacing’s proprietary laser mapping technology that replicates the eccentricities of the world’s best road courses, short ovals, and superspeedways, and our cutting-edge software that results in zero latency between what you’re seeing and what you’re feeling — we’re offering racing professionals and serious amateurs an unparalleled experience.”

SimCraft has chosen CES 2009 to be the platform where its professional-grade (APEX SC830) will make a debut, and those who are heading to the world’s largest consumer electronics show this year can catch them at LVCC, South Hall 2, Booth #25311, where they will also be demonstrating the iRacing software integration at its booth in the Electronic Gaming section. The APEX SC830 is pretty interesting, offering users three degrees of freedom (roll 40 degrees, pitch 25 degrees and yaw 40 degrees), accompanied by a state-of-the-art architecture that recreates center of mass rotations. Are you stoked yet as to what gaming will be like in the future with such newfangled technology, or do you think the gaming world could do with something else when it comes to upping the ante for realism?
