EA FIFA Online 2 close beta testing begins
December 26th, 2008 by Edwin in Uncategorized
Electronic Arts Inc. as well as The9 Limited, where the latter is a leading online games operator in China, just announced that their highly anticipared EA SPORTS FIFA ONLINE 2 has already started its close beta testing on December 22, 2008 in China. It makes perfect sense as football (soccer to those who live in the US) is really huge in the rest of the world and especially Asia, with betting rings (both legal and illegal) make a fortune out of the beautiful game. EA SPORTS FIFA ONLINE 2 is touted to be the latest online version of the popular EA SPORTS FIFA franchise of football video games, and has been given the official stamp of approval from FIFA as well.
The brand new EA SPORTS FIFA ONLINE 2 has enhanced player controls so that gamers can direct each in-game character to deliver real life football moves. EA SPORTS FIFA ONLINE 2 also focuses on player interactivity. Gamers can set up matches, track each others’ scores, enjoy other community functions, and even chat in-game. By building up their teams and winning matches, gamers can gain in-game points and rewards to upgrade their players and define their features and skills to advance in the game.
It would be interesting to see whether EA SPORTS FIFA ONLINE 2 will be released outside of China once beta testing is done. Could it possibly surpass World of Warcraft as the biggest multiplayer online game in the world? Perhaps, but we won’t bet against the staying power of Wow.
