Namco Bandai offer More Brain Exercise with Dr. Kawashima
December 13th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Dr. Kawashima ought to be a name that rings more than just a bell with folks familiar to the gaming world. He was the one who kick started the Brain Age series on the Nintendo DS, and that title was followed up by a sequel aptly named Brain Age 2, although its released was foreshadowed by a bunch of other brain-based games on many other platforms. This time round, Namco Bandai Networks Europe has come up with Brain Exercise with Dr. Kawashima to show off a new range of challenging games that have received Dr. Kawashima’s official seal of quality as it stimulates different parts of the brain including the temporal lobe, parietal lobe, and frontal lobe. Users will be able to pit themselves against an online ranking system to see who is smarter.
More Brain Exercise with Dr. Kawashima features fifteen new brain training games, five of which are used to measure brain age, as well as bonus games and additional functionality. Users can choose to evaluate their brain age, follow the daily brain training programme, or play additional games from the brain training selection. Up to three different profiles can be stored in the game so users can challenge their friends to compete using the same handset. As a bonus feature, More Brain Exercise with Dr. Kawashima features a selection of Sudoku puzzles for players to enjoy on the move.
Just like the DS title, you can track your daily progress by re-testing the brain age regularly, where you will be ranked from a cell to the universe (larger is better in this case), with dog, human, giraffe and dinosaur among the few other examples to come in between.
