Shaun White Snowboarding special Target edition is now out

November 18th, 2008 by Edwin in Uncategorized

Folks who love snowboarding but want to get their kicks even when indoors can always check out Ubisoft’s newest action sports title, Shaun White Snowboarding. This time round, it will also come in a special Target edition that is available across all three current generation consoles - the Xbox 360, the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii. No prizes for guessing which one of the three will have the least appealing graphics, although it would be interesting to see whether the wiggle controls of the Wii is able to introduce new gameplay elements compared to traditional controller movement.

The special Target edition is said to “have exclusive extended content and features that consumers won’t be able to find anywhere else, including the Target Mountain - an entire mountain environment found only in the Target edition. Gamers will also be able to take advantage of exclusive jibs and additional scenes. Additionally, players will be able to cozy up in the game’s virtual version of the Target Chalet, the real-life mountainside home where Shaun and his fellow Target athletes hang out with friends and family at the annual Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado. Among other exclusive features, the Target Chalet is the only indoor environment anywhere in the game.”

Seems that any successful athletes worth their salt these days will want to tie up with a video game publisher in order to release a franchised title to help them rake in even more money. Hey, who can blame them - times are not getting any easier after all. Anyone wants to bet against Lewis Hamilton getting his own racing game in the near future? Perhaps after he has picked up a couple more F1 championships…
