What’s Cooking? with Jamie Oliver now available
October 22nd, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Chef Jamie Oliver is not only a looker, but he now has his own cooking game to keep the video game population across North America satiated. What’s Cooking? with Jamie Oliver enables players to loosen their shackles by creating, enjoying and sharing their recipes in the same vein as how Jamie Oliver does it on his cookbooks and especially his TV shows. This title is available on the Nintendo DS platform, which means you are able to bring Jamie Oliver with you virtually wherever you go in your pocket - just make sure that there is enough battery life left in your console before you continue or at least have a handy Domino’s number at hand just in case things go awry.
What’s Cooking? with Jamie Oliver walks players through virtual and real-life cooking situations, from shopping to chopping, dressing the dish to serving up meals. Players can get stuck in and get their hands dirty in the kitchen with 100 original Jamie Oliver recipes in the interactive cookbook, while also making use of other practical functions such as the mobile shopping list at the supermarket. The cooking games offer fun for everyone with a series of recipe challenges using the stylus to chop, stir and serve in a variety of virtual real-time 3D kitchen settings that take you on a gourmet trip around the world. Challenge friends and family to a cook-off or beat the clock, all the while keeping quality and taste in mind on your way to becoming a top chef.
With the recipe creator, players are able to produce their own recipes based on hundreds of ingredients and utensils. These very same recipes will be saved alongside Jamie’s own, and you can always share it with other friends or family as long as they have a DS to go along.
