Majesco has yet another title that has gone gold - Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2009. This game will be heading towards the Wii platform this October 21st, and is the first of its kind that will see a celebrity fitness trainer within. Jillian Michaels needs no introduction, as she plays the role of strength trainer and life coach on the popular TV series “The Biggest Loser”. Good to see yet another game take advantage of the Wii Balance Board accessory in ways never thought possible for the video game industry a long time ago. Then again, many other things were not possible back then too, but I digress.

In Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2009 players become new recruits in Jillian’s boot camp where they enroll in a unique training program composed of challenging fitness tests and an ever-changing series of workouts. Players choose their workout from four types - Weight Loss, Strength Training, Intervals and Hill Climb — and set the intensity to light, medium or hard. By completing Wii Remote and Wii Balance Board motion-based challenges that range from crossing monkeybars to boxing and rowing, players can reach their own personal fitness goals while tracking their progress based on calories burned and workout intensity. Players can also unlock lifestyle and fitness video tips from Jillian. In addition, a Multiplayer Mode lets two players race against each other through entertaining individual challenges or through the entire Physical Training course to earn the winning time.

This game is the result of hard work from 3G Studios and has been slapped with an “E for Everyone” rating. You will be able to pick up Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum 2009 for Wii later this October for $39.99. Just make sure you have the Wii Balance Board accessory beforehand or else you will find yourself with a virtually useless copy of the game.
