PopCap Games roll out Peggle Mobile
October 1st, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
If you’re a huge fan of casual games and have devoted a huge chunk of your time at the office or at home in front of the PC playing this game instead of finishing up that report, then you’ll definitely have heard of this game known as Peggle from PopCap Games before. Good news for those who can’t get enough of Peggle - it is now available in a mobile format known as Peggle Mobile, and will be compatible with a wide range of handsets from major wireless carriers in the US and Europe.
Peggle combines elements of pinball, pool and pachinko to create a completely different kind of game experience. The game challenges players to use skill, strategy and luck to clear progressively more difficult levels of orange pegs by firing a small silver ball from the top of the screen. Stationary and moving obstacles along with numerous power-ups and special effects combine with dynamically-assigned peg colors to make each level unique every time it’s played. Peggle joins a host of tremendously successful titles, including Chuzzle Mobile and Bookworm Mobile, all of which were developed internally and published by PopCap in North America and Europe. Peggle for click-wheel iPod, introduced in late 2007, has also enjoyed critical and commercial success, and is the highest-rated game for iPod based on customer rankings in the iTunes storefront.
What are some of your favorite games that you play on your cell phone? Or do you prefer to stick to a real portable console like the DS Lite or Sony PSP when it comes to gaming on the go?
