Slingo Quest arrives on the DS
September 25th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Another day, another casual game this the Nintendo DS. I love my DS to bits, but this non-stop barrage of shovelware has got to stop sometime, somewhere. Seriously, who wants to play casual games and pay good money for it when they can enjoy the same thing over a PC? After all, the DS has shown itself to be a suitable platform for many mature titles that have both length and breadth, so why can’t more of the same be released by developers instead? The casual game in question is Slingo Quest by Slingo Inc., bringing players onto an island adventure while offering more power-ups, game play and number-matching fun.
Slingo Quest is set in a series of tropical islands in which players will test their Slingo playing skills in order to match patterns and complete their quest across all 10 of the game’s beautiful islands. It features the classic Slingo game-play that players are familiar with and is now available for anyone who wants to play Slingo on-the-go. Games like Slingo Quest have been shown to improve the brain’s numerical ability and cognitive skills. Increasing scientific evidence shows that actively participating in brain stimulating games can help offset symptoms of dementia and slow the effects of aging on the brain. People of all ages are recognizing the need to keep their brains mentally sharp by incorporating games like Slingo Quest for the Nintendo DS into their daily routines.
I’d say your brain doesn’t need any more sharpening to know when and how to avoid this $19.95 title if you’re not into brain games, where the money can be better spent elsewhere.
