Line Rider 2: Unbound heads for the DS and PC
September 18th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
The DS is certainly a platform for creative games thanks to its touch screen display, and this time round Line Rider 2: Unbound will be available on both the Nintendo DS and PC platforms. What begun as a game on the Internet initially has resulted in a portable and desk-bound version, featuring a trio of modes to help keep you glued to your portable handheld console or desktop without realizing that there’s still a whole ton of work to be completed before the day is over.
Developed by inXile entertainment, Line Rider 2: Unbound follows the sled-stealing scumbag Chaz who is up to no good and only you, as the clever and cunning Bosh, can defeat him. For Bosh to save his true love Bailey, players must solve over 40 mind-bending puzzles created by the #1 Line Rider player in the world, TechDawg. Players can also create their own puzzles and story-telling masterpieces and share them on the Internet by posting on sites such as YouTube, Facebook or the official Line Rider Web site http://www.linerider2unbound.com.
The three game modes in question are Story Mode, Freestyle Mode and Puzzle Mode, and you will be endowed with a range of new tools that help you expand your creative freedom further. Not only that, Line Rider 2: Unbound for both platforms boasts Wi-Fi and online capabilities that helps players trade and share tracks anywhere and anytime seamlessly. The PC version will cost $19.99 while those who prefer to rock on the DS will have to fork out another $10. Folks who have only the Wii at home will have to wait for their turn as Line Rider 2: Unbound for Wii ships later on October 6th.
