Activision plans for Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer beta

September 5th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases

Activision Publishing and developer Treyarch are planning to release Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer betas this October on the Xbox 360 platform as well as the PC. Both betas will function as an early opportunity for players to practice the tactics required for survival in the intense chaos of Call of Duty: World at War’s Pacific and European theaters. In this title, you will experience the game’s new squad system, but it won’t ditch old fan favorites such as perks and kill streaks.

According to Mark Lamia, Treyarch Studio Head, “We are excited to share a sneak peak of Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer with the community. The team has worked hard to build upon the great history and foundation of Call of Duty multiplayer and we can’t wait to go online to ramp up for our November launch.” Folks who are interested in Call of Duty: World at War Xbox 360 multiplayer beta are able to register here or place a pre-order for the game at any GameStop retail location or online in North America.

Mark November 11, 2008 on your calendars, boys and girls, as that is when Call of Duty: World at War will be released to retailers nationwide. It is interesting to note that the title will also be made available for PS3, Wii and DS platforms. All titles will come with a M for Mature rating, while the DS title has been rated T for Teens. Probably due to the inferior hardware, all the blood and gore cannot be depicted fully, lol!
