Majesco ships trio of kids’ games for the Wii
August 26th, 2008 by Edwin in Games ā New Releases
Majesco Entertainment will be rolling out three more popular children’s games on the Wii platform that doesn’t do otherwise when it comes to convincing fanboys of other consoles that Nintendo is a place for kids to play, whereas the PS3 and Xbox 360 are grown up playgrounds for adults. The three titles in question are Freddi Fish: Kelp Seed Mystery, Pajama Sam: Don’t Fear the Dark and Spy Fox in Dry Cereal, and all of them will retail for $19.99 a pop. The original version is available on the PC platform, and those have sold phenomenally well (nearly 15 million units) so it will be interesting whether the Wii version will be able to take a shot at those sales figures. Call me a wet blanket, but I think otherwise.
Freddi Fish: Kelp Seed Mystery
Help underwater detective Freddi Fish and her finny friend Luther solve the case of Grandma Grouper’s missing kelp seeds before all of the sea creatures go hungry! Explore marine caves, deep canyons, and fascinating places like King Crab’s Castle in an effort to rescue the colorful reef! Freddi Fish’s easy point-and-click interface lets young players earn a reaction from just about every object, plant and character in the game. In addition, a variety of mini-games helps players solve the mystery, develop hand-eye coordination and increase learning.Pajama Sam: Don’t Fear the Dark
Join Sam as he embarks on his journey to capture Darkness in a land of talking trees, hilarious carrots and non-stop adventure! Kids will love testing their wits in this midnight quest to shed some light on Sam’s mysterious closet. Explore a world of secrets and slumber in this motion-based adventure that creates a fun learning environment to encourage critical thinking while fostering listening and memory skills.Spy Fox in Dry Cereal
The world’s dairy cows have been “cow-napped” by a villainous goat, forcing kids to eat their cereal without milk. Team up with super-sleuth Spy Fox, Monkey Penny and Professor Quack as they take on this tough assignment through 100 levels of spy-speeding fun arcade-style games. Use amazing gadgets like X-ray chewing gum to crack the case and save the fateof breakfast as we know it!
All these titles are rated āEā for Everyone, so parents - here’s a great way for you to bond with your child while spending some quality time together.
