PlayFirst releases Cooking Dash
August 8th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Casual gamers will definitely be able to identify with the name PlayFirst, as this is one company that has brought past casual gaming titles that have become hits over time. This time around, you will be treated to a spin-off of the DinerTown story universe thanks to the Cooking Dash title. Available on both the Mac and PC platforms, you can give it a go via a 60-minute free trial, and if you find it fun enough, then don’t forget to fork out $19.95 and have hours upon hours of good fun.
Cooking Dash is an assembly-management game featuring Flo and her beloved grandma. The duo find themselves filling in at DinerTown’s busiest kitchens as they work to cover a cook shortage brought about by a reality TV program featuring Flo’s hardworking chef, Cookie. An exciting story world expansion, Cooking Dash does not replace the Diner Dash series, which is scheduled to release new episodic content as well as full-length sequel games.
I’m not too sure whether casual titles such as these will actually let ordinary folk see just how hard those in the service industry work, making sure that customers are satisfied most of the time. More often than not, difficult customers come along and make life literally a living hell for the floor staff, but good thing this is a video game and won’t result in breaking the table’s vase over somebody else’s head out of frustration. What are your favorite casual games on the PC and Mac platforms?
