Pong Toss - Frat Party Games on WiiWare
July 29th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
JV Games Inc. has just released news that Pong Toss - Frat Party Games, an “E” rated game can now be downloaded via WiiWare. This game has its roots from college campuses in the early 80s and has now evolved into a competitive sport played across the country. Pong Toss - Frat Party Games will have the honor of being the first slated game in the Frat Party Games series.
Featuring two distinct competitive games, Pong Toss - Frat Party Games offers a traditional tournament-style game for one to four players and Speed Pong, during which two to three players compete at the same time, each trying to be the first to eliminate all of his or her cups. Pong Toss - Frat Party Games has been designed with accurate and easy-to-use controls. It features three different play environments and allows players to choose from multiple tabletops to enhance the playing experience.
So far, response to this title have been overwhelming, and the staff are currently finding themselves up to the neck trying to keep up with tons of e-mail inquiries. After all, I’m sure that those who have long graduated since the 1980s will find an element of nostalgia in this title, and hence would want to relive their so-called “glory” days. According to JV Games VP Jag Jaeger, “We realized this is a game niche yet to be filled, and the Wii is the perfect system to replicate the game. We created a very accurate and realistic throw system. No buttons to time your throw with; just hold the Wii Remote like you would a normal ball and throw.”
