Gameloft launches NFL 2009 for mobiles

July 7th, 2008 by Edwin in General Gaming News

Gameloft is certainly taking the right steps in creating some hype for the upcoming football season by launching NFL 2009 as part of its mobile licensing agreement with the National Football League (NFL). This inked deal enables Gameloft to create an authentic NFL experience for fans by featuring all 32 NFL teams, NFL players, NFL stadiums and detailed stats.

According to Gonzague de Vallois, senior vice president of Publishing, Gameloft, “We are proud that the NFL recognized Gameloft’s signature titles and granted us the license to develop NFL 2009. NFL 2009 is packed full of team-specific strategies and spectacular offensive moves that are guaranteed to please football enthusiasts and provide them with the excitement of a live game.”

NFL 2009 brings a brand new NFL experience to mobile by offering ultra realistic game plays, enhanced AI and the largest and most realistic 2D models available. Fans are able to maneuvre players with spectacular offensive and defensive playbook tactics to get their team to the end zone. The immersion intensifies with fans and cheerleaders rooting you on as you compete in stadiums across the country.

You will be able to get NFL 2009 from majority of the US carriers. If you’re a football fanatic and want to know whether the game is available on your carrier, just text “QB” to 82174 on your cell phone. Don’t cry if the answer is in the negative - I’m pretty sure that NFL 2009 on both the PSP and DS Lite will be able to offer a much better portable football gaming experience compared to the cell phone, mainly due to the latter’s hardware limitations.
