Secret Agent Clank on the PSP

June 18th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases

Sony PSP owners will rejoice knowing that Secret Agent Clank has just been made available on an exclusive basis for that particular platform, and knowing the fact that it was developed by the same team behind the seminal Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters team, High Impact Games, one can expect the same high quality in that title to be translated over in spirit to Secret Agent Clank. Inside this game you will find trademark Ratchet and Clank “tongue-in-cheek” humor, as Secret Agent Clank pays homage to classic spy movies in a virtual adventure that sees Clank rack up the frequent flier miles, heading off to the far reaches of the galaxy in order to acquit his best friend, Ratchet.

Secret Agent Clank finds dry witted robot Clank as he dons his secret agent persona in order to exonerate Ratchet for a crime he did not commit. For the first time in the Ratchet & Clank series, players have the ability to play as four different characters throughout different portions of the game; Clank, Ratchet, Captain Qwark, and the Gadgebots each with signature styles of gameplay and objectives to achieve. While Clank is on the hunt for information to prove Ratchet’s innocence, Ratchet is in prison fighting for survival against criminals which were put there by him. Meanwhile, Captain Qwark is one step behind Clank, arriving to locations and claiming credit for Clank’s successes with outlandish stories executed by the player.

Inside the game, you will find exotic locales dot various segments, and among the antics Clank will be involved in would be snowboarding down a comet, engaged in a dance of death with the exotic Countess Lottbolts, competing in a high stakes card game, and discovering the foundry which produces all the bolts for the galaxy. Of course you will be aided with a plethora of high tech gadgetry in your quest - yet another aspect that made the franchise so appealing to date.

I love the Rachel and Clank series. But, I dunno if I should bother getting this game.
