SouthPeak offers Brave: Shaman’s Challenge on the DS
June 12th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
If you’re a Nintendo DS owner, then I must say there is no shortage of games anytime soon as plenty of developers do intend to develop for the platform. Unfortunately, there seems to be more turkeys than winners in the overall trend, followed by a big fat middle section of mediocre titles. With SouthPeak announcing that they will be releasing Brave: Shaman’s Challenge for the diminutive handheld console, it remains to be seen whether this will be a winner or fall under the average category - heaven forbid it stinks though. Brave: Shaman’s Challenge will be a puzzle game which features “an intricate storyline and thoughtful, strategic gameplay.”
Taking place in a land called Native America, “Brave: Shaman’s Challenge” follows a young boy named Brave in his quest to protect everything he holds dear. Developed by Collision Studios, “Brave: Shaman’s Challenge” features a cast of intriguing characters, a richly developed game world, and more puzzles than you can shake a shaman’s stick at! As Brave progresses in his mission he encounters friends and mentors from the past, as well as a slew of new faces. He must master Shamanic Arts, learn new powers, and explore dangerous territories.
A tall order for someone so young, eh? Never fear, I’m sure you, the gamer, will be able to guide Brave through his perilous moments to safety without too much effort. It will be interesting to see just how the stylus figures in the gameplay - will it be essential, or will the normal D-pad and buttons combo work just fine? I would like to add that hopefully the microphone won’t be used in a trivial manner either.
