Gran Turismo 5 Prologue released
April 16th, 2008 by Edwin in Games ā New Releases
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is finally available on the PS3 for those residing in the US, bringing the fifth instalment of the best selling racing franchise in the world. In a way, this isn’t exactly a full game by itself but more of an extremely playable demo since it is a precursor to the big daddy of them all, Gran Turismo 5. Sitting behind the wheel of your vehicle of choice in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is surreal, since the graphics are absolutely stunning and tend to blur the line with reality thanks to 1080p visuals, advanced vehicle design and precise driving physics. Make sure you have saved up enough to bring home one of those full HD-ready TVs if you want to take full advantage of it. You will be able to download the game from the PLAYSTATION Store on April 17, while the Blu-ray version will come with an exclusive behind-the-scenes HD video feature called “Beyond the Apex”, where both versions will retail for $39.99.
There will be more than 70 vehicles to choose from in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, where players will be able to plant their butts in exotics from Ferrari, Nissan and Ford, taking them for a spin through half a dozen meticulously rendered courses that hold two race routes each. In addition to all the standard modes that gmers have come to know and love in the past, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will also see the introduction of various revolutionary modes such as support for up to 16 players head-to-head racing offline and online.
This game has been rated āEā for Everyone, so your grandpa to little Sonny will be able to have a go in the world of racing without having to suffer the long arm of the law.
