Counter Force heads for Europe
April 3rd, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Conspiracy Entertainment have announced that Europe will be getting Counter Force for the Wii, thanks to the company’s business agreement with publisher 505 Games. If you’ve been hankering after this title for some time now, I’m pleased to announce that it is available throughout Western Europe as we speak. For those who are not in the know, Counter Force is a classic 3D action shooter game that places the protagonist (you) in control of a robot, and all gameplay is viewed from a third person perspective which might or might not be conducive for some people. Counter Force requires the use of both Wiimote and nunchuck in order to extract the optimal gaming experience, where the robot’s movement and gun sight will be matched according to how you wield both controllers.
Here’s an excerpt from the press release concerning Counter Force.
Every day, thousands perish. Those who survive share rumors of an alien entity called ‘Diadora.’ The survivors took refuge below the earth’s surface, narrowly escaping the alien invaders. The governing Council ordered an immediate counter attack. The primary objective codenamed ‘Counter Force’ would reclaim the Earth’s surface using 3 experimental robots. The secondary objective is to investigate the alien war-machine’s weaknesses and defeat the mysterious ‘Diadora.’
Some of the game’s features include :-
- Three freedom fighters - Sophia, Dynamis and Calista are humanity’s last hope for victory! (how cliched)
- Fast and furious 3D shoot’em-up style, with powerful weapons
- Up to 12 different enemies and 5 different bosses
- Shop to upgrade your robot’s features and build your strategy
