50 Cent: Blood on the Sand coming soon
March 28th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Guess rappers’ bad boy image started off in an authentic manner, but these days such personality portrayals are just there to satisfy the lust of the masses for mindless violence and a thoroughly bad-ass attitude. 50 Cent, famous for his bulletproof vest after taking a fair number of bullets without kicking the bucket, will reprise his role as a video game hero in a sequel to his 2005 PlayStation 2 game. This new game is known as 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand and will co-star G Unit’s Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid as they accompany 50 Cent in his virtual adventure. This time round, it will be the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms that will bring gamers into the dark world of 50 Cent and his cohort.
In this fictional setting to the multi-million unit seller Bulletproof video game, gamers will be able to immerse themselves in a make-believe environment, taking over the role as one of the world’s biggest hip-hop stars (where are the women in real life – have they all gone missing? Oh yeah, I forgot – they don’t hang out in living rooms all day attending to a pubescent boy engaged in his console) as you try to do battle to protect 50 Cent’s assets and to collect payment from a crooked overlord.
Al Simone, senior vice president of Global Marketing for Sierra Entertainment said, “50 Cent and shooter fans everywhere came out to support 50 Cent in Bulletproof and made it a multi-million unit selling video game. Gamers will be excited that 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand provides the ultimate next-gen 50 Cent game experience to ever fit into one disc.” No prizes for guessing just what kind of soundtrack will be booming over the speakers as you remain engrossed in the game.
