Humongous characters to arrive on Wii

March 26th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases

humongous.jpgMajesco Entertainment Company will be teaming up with Humongous to deliver various characters from the latter such as Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam and SPY Fox to the Wii sometime in the middle of this year. You will be able to treat your kids to a strategy game series for kids this summer on the Wii, taking into account various stages of thinking to help your kid develop his/her brain faster than those Brain Age games can. Some of the games waiting to be released are Freddi Fish in Kelp Seed Mystery, Pajama Sam in Don’t Fear the Dark and SPY Fox in Dry Cereal which will be integrated with the Wii Remote in a point-and-click style adventure play for all and sundry to enjoy.

According to Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer, Majesco, “For more than a decade, Humongous has continued to create some of the most memorable and successful interactive entertainment properties for children. Their characters have demonstrated both tremendous staying power and widespread consumer appeal, and we think this kind of family-friendly content is well-suited to the Wii system.”

The three Humongous titles mentioned earlier will retail for $19.99 each, making them one of the cheapest Wii games you can pick up off the shelf. There is still some hope at the end of the tunnel just yet, as not all video games are violent and teach our kids to do bad stuff like vandalism, theft and even shooting a gun. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if this will appeal to the mass market or not.
