CSI on cell phones now
March 20th, 2008 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Gameloft is proud to announce that those living in the US will be able to get hold of “CSI:Crime Scene Investigation – The Mobile Game”, letting fans of the primetime hit TV series play the role of investigators to check out the darker side of Sin City, with an optional level of interactivity that allows the in-game characters to place a phone call to players whenever they need some assistance when studying a particular case. I say that’s a great gesture, and it will definitely make me carry my phone charger with me just about anywhere.
Cyriac Roeding, Executive Vice President, CBS Mobile is pretty excited about this title as “This CBS Mobile game is the first of its kind utilizing outbound calling, which literally calls players to action. Your cellphone rings, and a detective calls you to the scene – just like a real CSI detective. This combination of game play with popular content and a whole new level of interactivity represent enormous entertainment and business potential for the mobile world.”
Once you sign up, players can activate the interactive phone call feature if they want to. Once activated, they will receive a specialized call during the game for clues and tips which could potentially lead to new crime scenes. Locations are also more detailed in order to up the realism ante, while evidence can be viewed in 3D this time round. Even the dastardly plots were cooked up by CBS Mobile and CSI Series Creator, Anthony E. Zuiker for continuity.
