Do you plan to brush up your English? Are you having trouble with grammar and confused over just where you ought to place your punctuation marks? Well, if you can’t afford additional English classes after work but happen to own a DS, rejoice! I bring you news of a new title for the DS known as ‘English of the Dead’. This is a welcome announcement considering how Typing of the Dead is still a classic that is remembered even until this day since it was released on the now defunct Sega Dreamcast sometime in the last century.

The latest issue of Famitsu Weekly has brought new information that Sega plans to milk that title by developing an English of the Dead version for Nintendo’s little handheld console that could. This language training game will probably make you pick up the language much faster than staring at the boring “The First Aid in English” publication. Assuming there was a French of the Dead, do you think that would make it easier for one to pick up all the nuances of francais faster than the lessons offered in My French Coach?

This title will utilize a version of House of the Dead 2 on DS hardware, although I’m not too sure whether the DS will be able to handle half a dozen zombies bearing down on a keyboard-toting secret agent who’s out to save the world. Players are supposed to translate words into English from Japanese correctly so that attacking zombies can be kept at bay. In other game modes, you will find zombies speaking English out loud (intelligent zombies…now that’s new), where you must then translate what they’re saying. Hopefully Sega will use this idea and include all sorts of languages in future versions.
