Age of Conan website launched
January 21st, 2008 by Edwin in General Gaming News
Funcom and Eidos has announced at CES 2008 that a spanking new website for Age of Conan has been launched. Fans and interested folks can check it out here, and the site is information rich with content concerning the Age of Conan universe. You get entertaining stuff such as new videos, a selection of some of the best screenshots from the game (well notice the marketing speak here – the best shots from the game, so don’t set your expectations up too high as the rest of the game might actually look rather mediocre on the whole), and popular links among others.
According to Morten Larssen, VP of Sales & Marketing in Funcom, “As an online gaming company we are always focused on improving our online presence, and the launch of the new Age of Conan website is a move we wanted to do prior to launch. With the new website we have tried to capture the very essence of what the Conan brand is all about, and we hope both fans and newcomers will enjoy it.â€
Are you drooling in anticipation for Age of Conan to hit your computer? After all, even before the game was released, it has already picked up its fair share of accolades – over twenty magazine covers and more than fifteen major awards, including numerous “Best MMO of E3″ awards and the official “Best Online Game of Show” award at the GC convention 2007. With nVidia behind the graphics, this will be a showcase title for the company as well as being a key title in Microsoft’s Games for Windows line-up.
