Looks like iPod owners have yet another game to keep themselves entertained should nearly 160GB of audio and video files unable to deliver enough excitement during the next long haul flight. Gameloft recently announced that it will be releasing Block Breaker Deluxe for the iPod, available on the iTunes Store for players to purchase and download. It is compatible with the new iPod nano, the iPod Classic and even the fifth generation iPod. Interested gamers will be able to pick it up for $4.99 a pop, so at that price you ought not to complain about the lack of an epic title on the world’s favorite portable media player.
Block Breaker Deluxe actually claims to be the best selling wall breaker game in the world with over 8 million copies sold, so that goes to say something about its widespread appeal to folks of all ages. According to Gonzague de Vallois, senior vice president of publishing, Gameloft, “We revamped the graphics of Block Breaker Deluxe for iPod to make it the most feature-rich, action packed wall breaker game ever created. We think iPod owners will be pleased with the stunning new animation effects, vibrant environments and innovative gameplay.â€
What makes your $4.99 go even further is the inclusion of an exclusive ‘Level Editor’ with each purchase that allows iPod owners to conjure their very own unique levels which they can then let their friends try out. If you think you’re good enough, why not share your creation with others in the iPod community via iTunes?
