Electronic Arts has started to ship SimCity Societies in stores across four different continents – North America, Asia, Australia and Europe. Not only is SimCity Societies available on all major consoles, it is also made available for mobile platforms. SimCity Societies sounds like an engaging title, allowing players to construct their desired cities while giving them the ability to mold their cultures, societal tendencies and environments. They have the freedom of choice to build artistic cities, authoritarian dictatorships, spiritual communities and many more. This allows you to explore the depths of yourself as you create the city of your dreams, or even nightmares.

According to Studio Head of The Sims Label, Rod Humble, “We are delighted to release this innovative new version of SimCity which focuses on relaxing game-play and creativity. Players can create any city they desire with a variety of buildings, cultures, environments and societal behaviors. With all of these options to choose from, SimCity Societies is the most flexible city building game ever!”

There are over 500 buildings and decorative objects to place, giving you virtually limitless possibilities. Another revolutionary feature not found in previous SimCity games include the ability to combine buildings that produce or rely upon a particular societal value effortlessly as a special kind of resource. It really is up to the players on how they mix and match these resources – productivity, prosperity, authority, knowledge, spirituality, or creativity, with the final result determining the social energy of their city. SimCity Societies will retail for $49.99. Image courtesy of 1Up.com.

I was playing SimCity Societies when the progam closed. I played SimCity Societies again and opened the Disasters menu. I chose the Earthquake disaster and the earthquake destroyed the Space Needle. The Space Needle was destroyed. I looked at the damge… I mean, damage of the Space Needle. It stood on 1st January 1900 and destroyed on 31st December 1999.
