Rock Band pricing confirmed
September 30th, 2007 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
For those of you who have been looking out for this game for a while now, the pricing details have just been confirmed so it is safe to assume that now would be a good time to break open those piggy banks and start counting all the pennies and quarters that you have amassed over the years. When November 23 rolls around this year (it’s a Friday - great way to kick start the weekend), proud owners of their Xbox 360s who have already completed Halo 3 for the umpteenth time and the now rumbling PS3 will be able to pick up Rock Band for $170. If you’re still rocking on with the 10-year old PS2, that console version will only be released in December 10 with a mere $10 discount at $160.
This news certainly comes about as a pleasant surprise, since the price for Rock Band has been touted to be $199 for months on end, so a $30 price reduction is always welcome. For that amount of dollars, you’ll get the game, guitar, wired drums, and a wired microphone that retail for $60, $60, $80, and $30 respectively. For those who want to pick up the wireless guitar for the Xbox 360 will have to fork out another $80, while the game itself minus all the peripherals retail for $50 on the PS2, again sharing the same $10 discount over its current gen brethren.
Since November 23rd is Black Friday, be prepared to rub shoulders with a gazillion other folks who’re out for a cheap bargain at the local store. Is saving $30 worth all the stress and hassle? You decide.
