Eye of Judgment priced
September 22nd, 2007 by Edwin in Games – New Releases
Collectible card games really took off in a big scale when Magic: The Gathering was released in the first half of the last decade. Since then, technology has progressed to make the traditional card game system even more interesting with the infusion of digital technology. Sony tries not to miss this bandwagon, coming up with a digital card game known as Eye of Judgment (no, this is not a typo as that is the proper spelling according to Wikipedia). This game will come packaged with a PlayStation Eye camera and will retail for $70 - roughly $10 more than what standard current gen games cost. In addition, each purchase will come with a copy of the game, a camera stand, the 9 Fields battle map, a starter deck and an 8-card booster pack.
Additional booster packs will set you back by $3.75, but for those who prefer to path of least resistance, there is always the availability of five pre-constructed theme packs which retail for $14.99. You can pick up the Eye of Judgment when it rolls out on the 23rd of October in America, with a global launch to follow before Halloween is over. Since this title will be compatible with the PlayStation Network, you’ll be able to sync with fellow EoJ players from all over the globe to do battle with them.
It would be interesting to see how the game mechanics work, as this would be the first title of its kind that actually makes any Digimon fanboy fantasy come true.
