While the Nintendo Wii meant to bring a revolution to the home console scene (and it certainly did that), certain quarters are not too happy about having Wii’s controller arrangement, especially the idea of plugging the Classic Controller into the Wiimote for it to work. While that design flaw (if you can classify it as one – I don’t see any problems with it) certainly doesn’t signal the beginning of the end, it could interfere with your gaming pleasure especially when you have something heavy like the Wiimote hanging off the Classic Controller, supported by your lap. Thrustmaster is currently offering a solution to this dilemma with the T-Wireless NW gamepad for Wii.

This is a fully wireless Classic Controller alternative that talks to the Wii using a 2.4GHz wireless dongle which in turn is connected to the Wii’s GameCube controller ports, giving you an effective working range of 30 feet. Not only do you get the full compliment of buttons available on the Wii’s very own Classic Controller, there are also Slow and Turbo buttons for times when you feel sick and tired of button mashing in a shoot ‘em up. Thrustmaster has priced the T-Wireless NW at a surprisingly affordable $19.99, bringing it level in terms of pricing with Nintendo’s semi-wired Classic Controller.

Those looking for a change will be able to pick this up when October rolls around. Are you part of that group? After all, precise controls are everything when it comes to a game, and it would be a shame to see you miss out on that high score just because you were feeling irritated at having a dangling Wiimote in your hands.
