PS2 gets SingStar Pop bundle
August 30th, 2007 by Edwin in Gaming Hardware
Have you made the jump over from the last generation to the current generation of game consoles? If you’re a (really, really) late adopter and have yet to pick up the PS2 from Sony, now would be a pretty good time to do so. SCE has recently announced a new limited edition SingStar PS2 pack that comes in the ceramic white color, a copy of the SingStar Pop game as well as a couple of SingStar USB microphones.
What’s different in this PS2 other than the color? Nothin, really, as it is the game here that really shines. SingStar Pop pits both friends and family alike against each other as they start belting out real songs from current chart toppers as well as pop legends of old including Alicia Keys, U2, Rihanna, Ashlee Simpson, The All-American Rejects, and The Clash. You will be able to play with up to eight different players in the “Pass-the-Mic” social frenzy, bringing the social aspect to gaming just like how the Nintendo Wii has revolutionized casual gaming in homes all over the world.
Interested parties will be able to pick up this pack from North America for $150 in the US, while those residing in the Great White North will have to fork out $160. Time to get those vocal chords warmed up and start belting your favorite tunes! Just remember not to disturb your neighbors too much lest they file a complaint to the local authorities as you disrupt their sleep with tunes that make even William Hung sound like the great Pavarotti himself.
