Ikari Gaming Mouse

ikari-gaming-mouse.jpgWe’ve heard of Logitech, Microsoft, and Razer coming out with their own line of gaming mice that offer great performance for hardcore gamers, but what about SteelSeries? This peripheral manufacturer specializes in designing devices for the growing phenomenon known as professional gaming, targeting pro-gaming teams, clans, and company sponsors. It took them slightly more than a year of research, testing, and consultation with players from Team 3D, compLexity, mousesports, SK Gaming, and Team NoA, in order to come out with the ultimate gaming mouse known as the Ikari Professional Gaming Mouse.

Making an appearance at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, the Ikari Professional Gaming Mouse comes with an ergonomic design that is said to accommodate all three mousing styles (man, this stuff is getting deeper and deeper just like those kung fu stances) that are commonly used by professionals when they strut their stuff - the Swipe, Claw, and Palm. In addition, the Ikari also boasts an anti-sweat surface coating as well as the largest SteelSeries Glide surface used in a gaming mouse, with the figure standing at 300% larger than traditional designs.

Features include five main buttons for a greater level of adaptability. There will be two flavors available with the Ikari, where one uses the laser engine while the other relies on an optical engine. The latter was specially designed for FPS players only, while the former targets those who are knee deep in RTS as well as MMO titles. The laser Ikari comes with an LCD readout on the bottom portion while the optical model will be able to switch between DPI settings on-the-fly. One major drawback from the product image could be this - does the Ikari Professional Gaming Mouse cater to left handers? It doesn’t look like it to me, but I could be wrong as the design seemingly favors those who wield the mouse with their right hand.
