All Xbox 360s to get HDMI ports?

Some people in the US who picked up the Xbox 360 Premium console in stores have apparently found an HDMI port inside – something that was previously available only in the Xbox 360 Elite bundle. This news comes as a surprise, especially when the Xbox 360 price cut has just come into effect. With no word from Microsoft prior to this, I suppose it was a pleasant feeling to open up your new purchase only to find that you have received more than what you bargained for. There could be a reason for Microsoft not announcing this – people would just stop snapping up these consoles only to wait for the new and improved shipment, and that would be bad on paper when it comes to sales numbers.

So far, Microsoft has confirmed that they have added HDMI ports to all the newly manufactured Xbox 360 Premium consoles in a move that aims to bring even more gamers toward the Xbox 360 fold. Apparently, retailers are currently working to introduced these new HDMI-enabled consoles into the sales channel to meet what would possibly be a growing demand. Of course, with such news being released, it makes perfect sense for everyday folks to clamor for similar treatment in the Xbox 360 Core version, although Microsoft does not yet have any plans to do so at press time. There is also no word as to whether there are any other new additions made to new Xbox 360 models, including the 65nm process. I suppose they ought to release an official press statement since the 65nm process Xbox 360s would really fly off the shelves since they will run much cooler than present Xbox 360s and have less risk of experiencing the dreaded Red Ring of Death.
