Rainbow Six Vegas Black Pack now free
June 30th, 2007 by Edwin in General Gaming News
Free! Everyone loves this word. Looks like the gaming industry isn’t all just about dollars and cents as Ubisoft dropped a piece of good news - the Rainbow Six Vegas Black Pack is supposed to be free. Apparently, the said piece of gaming software was originally sold on the marketplace for 800 MS points, which is equivalent to $10 of real world money. Most people thought that was a blatant ripoff, but still went ahead and purchased the maps anyways since the game was darn good by itself. Looks like Ubisoft has experienced an about turn now, and best of all is, everyone who purchased Rainbow Six Vegas Black will be reimbursed automatically between 8 to 10 weeks.
Sure, that’s a long time but still it is better than nothing. After all, since it is free, we can feel all our anger just dissipating into thin air. Who doesn’t want free stuff anyway? That’s what keep people coming back to conventions year after year due to all the swag
Word on the street also has it that the Black Pack will be back on the marketplace from today onwards, with the Red Pack being…yep - you’ve guessed it, free as a token of “appreciation” when July 6th rolls around. Just make sure your account information and personal details are up to date so that Microsoft can begin the reimbursement process.
Do you think the folks at Ubisoft could not sleep peacefully at night with their guilt ridden consciences that they decided to take this altruistic route? It is good to be a gamer at times like this. Don’t forget that the Wii browser is currently free so download it while you still have the opportunity to do so. Don’t come to us wailing when you have to pony up a few dollar bills down the road just because you don’t heed an old man’s advice
