Puzzle of Connections a worthwhile homebrew download

puzzle-connection.jpgThe homebrew scene on the Nintendo DS platform is brimming with activity, and once in a while you get a title that offers a decent amount of entertainment value, certainly much more than some of the studio efforts where we consumers actually have to shell out our hard earned money for. Setsuzoku no Puzzle, or Puzzle of Connections is one such title, boasting a lovely musical soundtrack that is bound to introduce at least a happy skip or two into your walking gait even on the most dreary of Monday mornings. Playing this game is pretty simple - all you need is a flash cart of some sort (the R4 Revolution or an M3 will do just fine), download it there, and you’re good to go. The tricky part comes when you need to clear the level or even figure out ways to solve the puzzle - something puzzle enthusiasts would definitely attack with fervor while the rest of us who are less puzzle-inclined continue to bang our heads on walls in frustration.

For those who are old and knowledgeable enough, this game is modeled after a 1989 arcade game known as Match It. The objective of the game is to knock out all 140 tiles against a timer. Each multi-colored square comes with a symbol on it (comprising of moons and stars among others) which are then links to an identical piece in order to remove both. You can even stretch the connecting line all the way across the playing field, but that comes with a caveat - you cannot turn more than two corners for it to remain valid.

Do you download homebrew games on your DS? I myself have Warcraft: Tower Defense and am looking for time to install Quake on it.
