PS3 BioShock retracted by Three Speech
April 8th, 2007 by Edwin in General Gaming News
Three Speech as some of you would know is a semi-official blog that is operated by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The blog has recently retracted their claim regarding BioShock’s appearance on the PS3, leaving gamers puzzled and perhaps even disappointed. Steve Boxer, one of the writers for the site, did mention that BioShock will make its way to the PS3 platform as well as the Xbox 360, along with word that Killzone, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Lair, and Warhawk will also make their way this September. While none of the release dates of the above mentioned titles have been retracted, Sony America has confirmed only one title’s release date – Lair, which will be available this July.
The mix up in information definitely does not bode well for the community, so it would be nice to see Three Speech and Sony issue an official statement to let everyone know where exactly their relationship stands at this moment, as a semi-official blog would definitely not be misleading when it comes to vital information such as release dates of titles. The Bioshock cock up is the second time in a fortnight where Three Speech made a boo boo, only to have Sony clean up its mess by issuing a contradictory statement.
Assuming Three Speech is handled by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, it would be nice to see Sony America work closely with their counterparts across the pond for everybody’s benefit. What do you guys think? Will Bioshock be yet another exclusive title for the Xbox 360/PC platform?
